Our founding artists in residence cover visual arts, music, film, dance, literature, culinary and healing arts and have invited many visiting artists to stay for both the short and medium term, when they share their talents with local artists in master classes and the wider community through classes and performances.
Antonio López Vega
We are fortunate to have Master Antonio López Vega, native of Ajijic in residence with us. He has taken the initiative to program children’s art with small weekly classes serving the neighborhood of San Sebastian, in the upper part of Ajijic. In addition, we have started offering adult classes in small groups and online. As a resident artist, he has also invited and curated many exhibitions.
Emilia Gálvez
Coordinator and co-creator at La Cochera Cultural, Producer, Audiovisual Producer, a great passion for Flamenco and performer of cajón – dance.
Since 2002, Flamenco has been a recurring subject of study. Agroecology, Hatha Yoga and Vipassana are part of her way of life.

Eleazar “Chuco” Soto
Eleazar Soto is a Mexican musician and producer, a graduate of the Faculty of Music at the Autonomous University of Nuevo León and certified as a music teacher by the Secretariat of Public Education. With over 20 years of career, Eleazar has participated in significant jazz festivals such as the International Summer Jazz Festival in Querétaro and the Jalisco Jazz Festival. He has also contributed to the production of events and collaborated with international artists. His work includes compositions for audiovisual projects and various musical ensembles, establishing him as an influential musician and producer in the field of jazz and contemporary music in Mexico.
